Carers graduate
18/12/2008 | Wednesday December 10 was the culmination of eleven months of study for seven locals who graduated with a Certificate 111 in Aged Care. Course tutor David Maddigan spoke of what had been a remarkable journey.

18/12/2008 | The Ben Lomond Presbyterian Church recently celebrated a milestone. It was opened for worship in December 1908, and in December 2008 many associated with those first worshippers returned to take part in the Centenary Service.

18/12/2008 | Golf on Tuesday, December 9 again took the form of an 18 hole stableford event playing the back nine holes twice because of the ongoing work on the front nine with the watering system.
A Celebration of Bowls
18/12/2008 | The Guyra Annual Bowls Carnival is a weeklong event and is supported by bowlers from far and wide. To kick-start the proceedings the ladies held an Open Triples tournament, with 20 teams of lady bowlers competing for the prize money.
