Good scores in Mens Golf

20/11/2008 11:09:00 AM
Last Sunday we had Terry’s Menswear 4BBB stroke, a big field turned out to enjoy great golf playing conditions. Winners on the day went to Cameron Peardon and Steven Sole with a great score of 62 and the runner ups went Ian Taylor and Evan Sole with 66.The nearest the pin closest second shot on the 3rd went to G Miller and the nearest the pin closest second shot on the 13th went to C Peardon. Once again thanks to Terry and Pat Darby from Terry’s Menswear.

We also had the final of the matchplay and Cameron Peardon beat Don Maling on the 17th hole, so it’s the grand final to go in the next few weeks, and this should be a great contest between Geoff Dowden and Cameron Peardon and good luck to you both.

We are selecting two pennant teams to go to Delungra on Sunday December 7, these teams will be in next weeks paper and the teams consist of 6 players in each team taking the best 5 scores per team on the day. We are only able to take small teams due to Delungra being a 9 hole course.

Up and coming events are the CT Electrics individual stroke November 23 and the Guyra Mixed and Individual open on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30 so get ready for these up and coming events coming up.

Golf this Sunday is the annual Kirks IGA 4BBB par with prizes in the Men’s comp front and back 9 prizes nearest the pins and plenty of card draws and if we have enough lady golfers turn up we will also run a prize for them as well, and the starter is Scott Mendes.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
